Chiropractic & Nutrition Services in Bronx, NY

At Fitzgerald Chiropractic and Nutrition, Dr. Jane Fitzgerald and her colleagues provide high quality, evidence-based, integrative care that includes acupuncture, chiropractic & nutrition services in Bronx, NY. Learn more about our services:
Chiropractic
Our chiropractic services focus on the relationship between the body’s main structures: the skeleton, the muscles, and the nerves, as well as the patient’s overall health. Chiropractors improve and preserve health by making adjustments to these structures, particularly to the spinal column. Treatment typically involves manual therapy, including spinal manipulation.
Nutrition Counseling
We provide patients with an individualized nutritional program based on their health goals and needs. Programs include recommendations about making healthy food choices and selecting the appropriate vitamins & supplements to help optimize health.
Acupuncture
Our on-site acupuncture specialist, Dr. Jong Kim, is available to all of our patients. Most commonly used to relieve discomfort, acupuncture effectively improves migraines, musculoskeletal pain, menstrual cramps, chemotherapy-induced nausea & vomiting, and respiratory disorders such as allergic rhinitis. It involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points to stimulate nerves, muscles, and connective tissue.
OTHER SERVICES:
Pain Management
Fitzgerald Chiropractic and Nutrition, in conjunction with ARI Medical, PC, is pleased to offer Trigger Point Therapy to patients experiencing chronic pain. Trigger Point Therapy (TPT) is a universally well-received combination of clinically proven methods for treating chronic muscular pain anywhere on the body without oral medication. Trigger points are small "knots"—or areas of spasm—within a muscle. They may be tender when touched or result in the shortening of a muscle. The shortening may then cause limitation in the range of motion of the affected area (i.e., in neck rotation). Trigger points may even cause "referred pain"—or pain that is felt in a distant location when the trigger point is touched. Trigger Point Therapy essentially loosens these knots, allowing improved blood flow to the chronically spasmodic areas. As a result, the areas begin to heal. As soon as the knots are relieved, there is often an immediate and remarkable reduction in pain, soreness, discomfort, and long-term relief. The treatment is simple, minimally invasive, and quick. Improvement is usually noted after each visit.
